Niels Bammens

Niels Bammens is a professor of tax law at KU Leuven (Belgium), where he teaches individual income tax and international tax law. His research mainly concerns the general principles of international and European tax law, the interpretation and application of tax treaties, individual income taxation and the taxation of the financial sector. In addition, he is of counsel at EY Tax Consultants in Brussels, where he advises on matters of Belgian, European and international tax law in the financial sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from KU Leuven, a Master of Laws in Tax Law from KU Leuven, and a PhD in Law from KU Leuven.
